Locharbriggs Social Club is located in Dumfries in the South West of Scotland. The premises opened on June 9th 1978 after a lot of hard work and negotiations by a small, hardworking committee of local people led by the then District Councillor Ken Cameron. The success of the club has led to further extensions being added to the original premises over the years.

There is Function Room that holds a maximum of 200 people where entertainment is provided every Saturday evening. All types of functions are catered for including dances and weddings. Special functions are provided at Christmas and New Year including a pantomime. There is a snug where you can have a quiet drink and which is also ideal for small private parties. Both these rooms can be booked by contacting the Secretary. The large bar, where you can play darts and dominoes, has a tv and a large screen tv for watching top sporting events. Bingo is played on Monday evening. There is also a snooker room with a television, which contains 2 snooker tables and a pool table. We have BT Vision sports pack which shows some Scottish Premier League and English Premier League matches and other sports on ESPN. There is a variety of catering choices available on the Bar Suppers and Snack menu.

The premises are all on one level and has disabled facilities. There is ample car and bus parking space. The club has darts, dominoes, snooker and quiz teams who all play in local leagues.

All sorts of bus parties are made welcome from football supporters to other social clubs where food and refreshment can be provided from the varied types of menu available. Phone in advance to make arrangements. Call in for a meal on the way to a football match or stay for the day. If you are looking to hold a seminar, demonstration, talk, etc., please give us a call as we have the facilities to host these events. Holiday passes are available for holiday makers here for a short break. CIU Club - Associate passes and Annual passes available.

Private functions available April – October 2010 on Saturday nights. The cost of the hire of the room is £60.00 with club catering and £80.00 with own catering.
